Nov 29, 2011 As most of you know, we assist pencilling and
inking for other artists and there isn't as much of that as there used to be. Now we
hear that one of the "Big Two" is slowly going back to the cheapest comic art, meaning they're
back to "closed shop" studio labor, which means it's a studio (or studios) contracted with the
publisher to do several comics. So,
a random guy draws this page and a random guy inks that page, in-between working other jobs that pay bills.
Cheaper for that Big Two publisher, no money for any artists, crappy comics for all of us.
Bad times.
Support AC Comics. Buy some books.

Nov 25, 2011 Rawr! We're planning to put some more stuff on Ebay,
since the VHS sale I did didn't go so good.
If I had some extra Paypal, I'd buy some tees, but that isn't likely enough.
Check out these Pindippy tees from the actress who played Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter movies.
Great unusual gift idea for those of you who have fun friends or wacky relatives who are Potter fans and I know you do.

Nov 13, 2011 Just today read Frank's
"Get off my lawn!" post
You know, he's only trying to boost his comics sales by being counter to current left-wing bias in news/media.
Frank's, as always, a radical genius. Still can't stand the guy's artwork. Even when he wuz popular in the 80's.

Nov 2, 2011 Revamped the folio. Links should work. Busy and on the verge of a cold.

Oct 07, 2011 Yeah, I got tired of having to log in to the darn twit thing and I can't post too much and I don't want to post the
blog thing which I'd have to log into too. It's just such a hassle when
I wanted to post anything on my site, so this thing is back. Yay. I'll make it pretty when I have time. Which I don't.
There are some couple of tiny bits o' news, not anything exciting related to our work directly, but hopefully it means
it will help keep us and our businesses financially afloat and us continuing to do comics for you guys and that's what's important.
-------------------------------
Sept 14, 2011 We have a few test copies of the trade paperback available for reviewers.
These copies are NOT the final version you'll be seeing in stores, this is only the previously printed material.
If you're a reviewer and you want to post a review (good, bad or otherwise) to your blog or magazine,
hit the contact page and email me for more details.
Again, the Diamond DCD item number for the 21st Centurions TPB is: Sep 11 0963 21st Centurions TP New Clear Day.
It's on page #268 of Previews #276 for Sept 2011, shipping in November 2011.
Lots more businesses closing here in O-Town.
A year ago it was just national chains shutting down here, reducing the number of their locations.
Now, many of our local businesses are closing.
Hoped our "international tourist supported" local economy would keep our local stores and restaurants afloat. Not happening.
Not buying the Blu-Ray until it's the real '77. I still have my VHS. Word.
-------------------------------
Sept 05, 2011 I've been posting pre-order specials that dealers are running
on the TPB on the 21st Centurions website,
one of which is under $13 bucks! Not advocating any particular dealers and
some may require some sort of membership/quantity thing, so there you go.
Click the 21st Centurions button and check 'em out yourself.
Keep sending me pre-order info and I'll post it.

Sept 01, 2011 Updates to the site are going on. I'm a comic book artist,
not a html expert, so there's some wacky html errors that need fixing.
The Diamond DCD item number for the 21st Centurions TPB is: Sep 11 0963 21st Centurions TP New Clear Day.
It's on page #268 of Previews #276 for Sept 2011, shipping in November 2011.
Deleted pages will include the original intro and a couple of other sequences plus more.
Yup, the Centurion Premiere site,is now up, still in the works. you can go to it from
our link here.
"Why superhero films are failing."
The guy's talking about why they fail--yeah, they did pretty well at the box office, but they're not "good"
superhero movies. A good superhero movie is one that you want to see again in the theaters,
tell all your friends to go see and buy the dvd when it comes out. Hasn't been a lot of those.

Aug 17, 2011
In the good news dept., the new 21st Centurions TPB will be out soon, look for
it in Diamond Previews under Centurion Premiere.
It'll have new "deleted pages', pin-ups and much more!
Sorry I'm not too talkative here lately.
Mark and I's thoughts are with
Bill and Rebekah who are going through some
(non-comic book related) really rough personal crisises.

July 21, 2011
No, I haven't updated in a
long time--we've been on a major production rollercoaster! Bad me!
Miss Masque and Crypt of Horror are out,
glad so many of you enjoyed Femforce #156.
More details soon on the 21st GN.
Did I mention the new "ghosting" gig was shut down along with the animated series because
the "famous former bodybuilder who shall not be named" ended up in the news with a "new kid"? Yeah, THAT one. Dang.
-------------------------------
May 02, 2011
Sums up
the weekend pretty nicely, I think.
-------------------------------
April 27, 2011
Better mood, "hopefully" new ghosting gig on the horizon,
which "hopefully" means money for us.
Again, our names won't be on it, but it'll "hopefully" pay the bills, that's the important thing and "hopefully"
we will get pages soon, so we can start to work on them.
Some guy asked Mark about his thoughts and opinions on five pages he
inked for some fanzine thirty years ago. He was, like, way too nice to
tell the guy that it wasn't a big thing to him, since
he was already getting published at Charlton and Paragon, but thought
that would sound kinda snobby. Typical Mark.
Yup, this new pencilling gig will be addition to our regular inking gig.
Of course, still working on the AC Comics stuff--plus 21st Centurions.
Go buy some funny books, kids.

One of the coolest things about
being where we are is being able to see the space launches!
Dealing with the supersonic booms is a pretty small price to pay.
Depending on the flight direction, the boom is a few minutes before the landing and
it varies from "AAAAH! A big truck hit the side of the building--was that the shuttle?"
to "sound of a freight train car "whump" on the tracks without the tracks sound".
Bye Discovery, you will be missed. One of the NASA photos from the space
station of Discovery in flight is my current computer wallpaper.
I wondered as a kid what it would be like to be near a spaceport,
now I get to see spaceships take off and land. Way cool.
Busy working as usual.
One of our former freelancers at AC, Percival is in Kagoshima prefecture,
which is south of the major damage of the quake in Japan. He's okay.

FF #155 ships today.
Unfortunately, there aren't ANY new licensed FF products that
we can personally endorse. Non-sports cards are like milk carton pogs, back when
people actually HAD money to waste on quickly churned out, low quality bovine stuff.
It's scary out there. We've been hearing about the New Great Depression out there,
but it's only within the past few months or so, we've really seen LOTS of
businesses closing in Orlando, mostly national chains and not local retailers.
Thankfully, we're in a vacation area, only minutes from Disney,
so there's still a lot of outside money pouring into the area from obnoxious tourists.
Mark will get some sleep after three days non-stop working on getting the comic ready to ship.
We have freelance stuff coming in next week. Bleah!

Going to celebrate by eating a cheeseburger. Or pancakes.
All my major special favorite restaurants are gone in O-Town:(

Jan 19, 2011
Hi Folks, is it a happy new year yet? Working on FF.
We've got a special guest artist coming up that I think you'll all be excited about--I know we are!
He did a lot of FF covers in the 80's before leaving for the animation business.
(yeah, like THAT narrows it down:)
Working on the FF story for next issue, watching my VHS and listening to radio from
Monaco.
